At the age of 49 Uma became a PADI certified scuba diver, just to take a closer look at the coral reefs and understand her subject better. All her painting exhibitions are called “Coral reef gardens” due to her passion for the coral reefs. Coral Woman is a film on Uma’s efforts to address the threat to coral reefs from bleaching, pollution and global warming. Uma will be at the festival for a Q&A session after the film screening.

Uma will also be displaying some of her art work at the venue.
